Chelamax® is fully chelated — each magnesium ion bound to two glycine molecules — and verified batch by batch. Much of what's sold as "glycinate" is buffered: blended with magnesium oxide to cut cost. In a simulated digestion model, Chelamax® absorbed at 64%; oxide reached 4%.

Citrate absorbs reasonably well but draws water into the gut, which is why it's often sold for regularity and why it can send you running at higher doses. Glycinate is absorbed as a chelated molecule, without that effect — the form built for taking daily, in the evening, for sleep.

Our serving is 275 mg of elemental magnesium across three capsules, taken in the evening. Start with half a serving for the first few nights and build up over a week. The elemental figure — the magnesium itself, not the compound weight — is what's printed on our label and verified in the COA.
